Letter from the Superintendent

August 18, 2023

Dear Students, Parents and Guardians,

Welcome to the 2023-2024 school year! I hope this letter finds you all in good health and high spirits. As we gear up for another exciting year of learning and growth, I wanted to extend a warm welcome to both returning and new students to Trinidad School District #1.

We are thrilled to announce the first day of school is August 21, 2023. Our dedicated educators and staff have been hard at work preparing an engaging and enriching curriculum that will inspire you to reach new heights. This promises to be a year filled with opportunities for exploration, discovery and achievement.

Some exciting changes are underway in our district, and here are a few of the highlights:

New laptops for all students: To enhance your learning experience, we are proud to inform you that all students will be issued new laptops. These devices will serve as powerful tools to support your education and provide access to a wide array of resources that will help you excel academically.

Promethean Boards for Enhanced Classroom Instruction: Our commitment to providing exceptional education has led us to equip all classrooms with state-of-the-art Promethean Boards. These interactive whiteboards will enable our dedicated teachers to create dynamic and engaging lessons that cater to diverse learning styles, fostering an environment of active participation and collaboration.

Trinidad High School Ongoing Renovation: The transformation continues as we work diligently on the renovation of Trinidad High School. Throughout the school year, we will be enhancing various aspects of the high school to provide you with improved facilities that align with our vision of excellence.

We firmly believe each student has the potential to make a significant impact, not only academically but also within our community and beyond. Our dedicated team of educators and support staff are here to guide and assist you every step of the way. As you embark on this new chapter, remember your education is a journey of self-discovery and empowerment.

Parents and guardians, your partnership is invaluable. We look forward to working collaboratively with you to ensure the success of our students. There are many resources on our district website (tsd1.org) that will keep you informed throughout the year.

Let us approach this year with enthusiasm, determination and commitment to learning. Wishing you all a wonderful start of the school year!

Warm regards,

Bonnie Aaron
