Trinidad High School is excited to welcome Mr. Daniel Sanchez as our new Special Education teacher. With over two decades of experience in special education, Mr. Sanchez brings a wealth of knowledge and passion to his role.
Before transitioning to education, Mr. Sanchez was a civil servant. He began his teaching career at Albuquerque Public Schools, later joining the Ignacia School District, and most recently worked at Socorro Public Schools. Now, he and his wife have relocated to Trinidad, where he is eager to make a positive impact on both his students and the school community.
Mr. Sanchez’s mission is simple yet profound: to improve the lives and academics of his students while contributing to the overall success of the school. Beyond the classroom, he’s an avid coach, passionate about basketball, soccer, and tennis. A former college basketball player in Wisconsin and Minnesota, Mr. Sanchez brings his love for sports into his coaching.
When he’s not teaching or coaching, you’ll find him enjoying outdoor activities like fishing and golfing or supporting his wife in managing her personal music endeavors. Trinidad High School is fortunate to have such a dedicated and multi-talented educator on board!
