Headshot of Mr. Skyler Weber

Trinidad High School is excited to welcome Mr. Skyler Weber as the newest addition to the English department. Mr. Weber, a Colorado native who grew up in Lochbuie, brings a unique background to the classroom, blending his passion for teaching with his experience in the military.

Mr. Weber attended the University of Colorado Denver, where he majored in English. After graduating, he joined the Army and served as an Emergency Response Planner specializing in chemical, biological, radiological, and nuclear protection. His military career included a deployment to Afghanistan, and upon returning, he became an instructor in chemical defense. It was this teaching role that inspired Mr. Weber to pursue education as a career. “After my teaching job in the Army, I knew I wouldn't have another opportunity to teach unless I got out of the Army,” he shares.

During his time in the Army, Mr. Weber reunited with Heidi, who later became his wife, and together they moved to Trinidad. The couple now has three children: two daughters, ages 7 and 10, and a son, age 4.

Before joining Trinidad High School, Mr. Weber taught at Hoehne and Primero, making this his sixth-year teaching in public schools. Outside of his classroom duties, Mr. Weber enjoys life on his 10-acre property, where he spends time gardening and herding goats.

Mr. Weber’s diverse life experiences, dedication to his family, and passion for teaching make him a valuable addition to the Trinidad High School community.
