New Teacher Feature – Heather Eberhardt
TSD1 welcomes Heather Eberhardt, a dedicated and passionate kindergarten teacher at Fisher’s Peak Elementary School. Originally from Houston, Texas, Heather moved to Trinidad seven years ago and is completing her paid student teaching at Fisher’s Peak Elementary School this year. Heather was placed at Trinidad School District #1 through UC-Denver’s Teacher Preparation Program.
Before joining TSD1, Heather gained valuable experience working at AlMack’s Kitchen and Bella Luna. Outside of her professional life, Heather enjoys hiking and snowboarding with her fiancé, Matt. The couple got engaged while hiking at Fisher’s Peak State Park and are eagerly looking forward to their wedding on July 17th. Heather also loves spending time with her three dogs and one cat.
In addition to her love for the outdoors, Heather is a talented singer and hopes to find more opportunities to pursue her passion for music. When asked why she chose education as her profession, Heather shared, “I struggled in school and my first-grade teacher had an impact on me and inspired me to want to help other students who struggle like I did.”
Heather Eberhardt’s dedication to her students and her community makes her a cherished member of Fisher’s Peak Elementary School. We are excited to see the positive impact she will continue to make in the lives of her students.
