Meet Trinidad Middle School’s newest Administrative Assistant Jayme Maez. Jayme enjoys working out, traveling, reading and spending time with family. She is passionate about photography and running. She likes photographing nature and people’s portraits. About five years ago she discovered her passion for running. She has participated in several 5Ks over the past five years. When not running, Jayme loves reading books. Currently she is reading a Freid McFadden book and recommends any book by McFadden.
When asked about her educational journey, Jayme shares, “My love for education and the medical field is where my educational journey led me to pursuing college classes in Early Childhood Education as well as becoming a Certified Medical Assistant.” The personal achievement she is most proud of is becoming a Certified Medical Assistant. In addition to taking classes, she worked in a preschool program and coached volleyball. She adds, “Both fields have one thing in common and that’s getting to help people, whether its students or patients.” Her position at Trinidad Middle School gives her the opportunity to help both administrators and students.
When asked if she could travel anywhere in the world, she answered, “The United Kingdom . . . there are many countries I really want to see, such as England, Scotland and Ireland.” When asked what she dreams about or is working toward outside of work, she said going to nursing school.
Jayme was inspired to work at Trinidad School District because she went to school here as well as her daughter. She says the staff are awesome and they are not just coworkers but a family. She concluded, “I’m grateful for the opportunity to get to work here at TMS with all of them.”
