Meet Trinidad Middle School Paraprofessional Sydney Modrow. Sydney said she applied at Trinidad Middle School because, “I enjoy being in an educational environment and I am most excited to help students improve their academics and meet their goals. I have always loved education, learning and helping others.” She adds, “The greatest impact I have had on a student’s learning and growth was primarily because I cared about them.” Her high school English teacher taught her she could accomplish anything she wanted with practice and hard work. Sydney plans to work hard to further her education by obtaining a master’s degree.
When not working, Sydney loves walking her dogs, watching movies, cooking, reading and hiking. Hobbies or skills she is passionate about that others may not know about her is traveling and learning Portuguese. If she could travel anywhere in the world, she would go to Brazil so she can meet her husband’s extended family and learn more about the culture. People are surprised to learn that Syndney has been skydiving. One of Sydney’s achievements that she is most proud of is conducting neuroscience research for the government. Sydney’s next goal is to start a family.
