Cindy joined the Miner team as a paraprofessional to oversee the online program for students. She shared, “I joined Trinidad school district because of my desire to become a teacher. I get to work with the students and learn from the wonderful staff of educators.”

Cindy was born in Oklahoma and grew up in California and Germany because her father was in the Air Force.  After graduating from Altus High School, Altus, OK, she joined the Air Force. She was stationed in Okinawa, Japan and Cheyene, Wyoming. She shared, “My six years in the Air Force is something that I am extremely proud of. I loved serving my country and would do it again in a heartbeat.”

She has three daughters and three grandsons. She came to Trinidad in 2003 when her husband was employed at Pioneer. In 2015 she began working at Primero School District in food services. When not working, Cindy enjoys reading, putting puzzles together and watching sports with my family.” Cindy’s favorite reading genre is horror books and her favorite book series is The Gun Slinger by Stephen King. Some of her favorite activities include swimming, hiking, fishing, and watching high school volleyball and basketball.

Three of Cindy’s goals include going to Amsterdam because of the beautiful tulip gardens, making it to the top of The Manitou Incline and receiving a bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education.
